Subject: what printers do you use?

Designers, what printers have you used?
to start off this discussion, i'll tell ya what printers I have used:
--Classic Color, Chicago
various print projects, great under quick deadlines
--Argus Press, Niles
higher end printer
--Rider Dickerson, Chicago
when doing 4-color process, they like bigger runs (we usually do runs of
2000 and that's too small, so we use them mostly for digital
stuff...newsletters, postcards)
--Shore Graphics, Chicago
We use 'em for all our film.
--Moss Printing, Chicago
another fine printer
--Fenton Press and PCI Graphics, Addison
Fenton is a great printer. They always have done a wonderful job. PCI is
the service bureau part...they have a very knowledgable staffed headed up by
Dave, who is a joy to work with. He has even come in and given us a few
tutorials.
for more information on these printers (i.e. address, phone, web) visit:

oh yeah, there's a form up there too, if ya wanna say what printers you have used.

Interpretive Night
Wednesday, July 19: FOTA, 1800 W Cornelia, Chicago
Join us for an evening of lively discussion and idea exchange as we take a look at each other's art work and comment about what it means to us as individuals. FOTA is launching a series of interpretive nights at our 1800 W Cornelia location.
Unlike the traditional art critique salon, where people might offer a series of "You should have done this instead of that," we are giving artists and patrons the opportunity to comment on each other's works in terms of what it means to them. Artists are encouraged to bring a piece or two of art work, display it on one of our gallery walls, and listen to the comments about what kinds of moods, thoughts, and ideas are evoked by the viewer. The artist is then invited to comment about the reactions to his/her work, or simply enjoy the ideas coming from others. We know you will enjoy this evening of art idea exchange.
For more information or to RSVP, please call us at 773-935-1854

-Name a work of art you really like.
-What do you think the famous Picasso public sculpture
in Chicago's Daley Plaza is?
